There's so much to do in Buffalo, we have put together
some ideas of how a group of four or 40 could enjoy a day in Buffalo!
Historic Buffalo
A visit to Buffalo any time of the year
isn’t complete without a walking tour of Buffalo‘s
historic Central Business District. Several of these
prestigious buildings were built in 1880s and 1890s and are
now home to retail shops and commercial businesses. During
your walking tour of Buffalo‘s historic district, take
time to enjoy lunch on the patio at BJ’s or a picnic
in Sturges Park on beautiful Buffalo Lake. Detailed
information on the historic buildings may be found in this
downloadable tour flyer.
Antique, Vintage & Specialty
Shops
Buffalo
is home to a variety of specialty gift shops and several unique
antique shops, and most are open daily. Then on the first
Thursday of each month, the occasional sales weekend gets underway
in Buffalo. Open only one weekend of each month, these specialty
shops feature antiques, vintage goods, unique gifts, baked goods,
candles and everything and anything you could possibly wish for
on a weekend of shopping. Shopping is great any time in Buffalo! Be
sure to pick up a free copy of the Visitor’s Guide at one
of the local businesses or stop by the Chamber Office at 9 Central
Avenue to receive one – the Guide contains a detailed map
of the shop locations!
Grand Slam Golf Weekend
Enjoy both golf courses for a
non-stop weekend of golf: Wild Marsh Golf Club, an
18-hole championship course designed by Champions Tour Player,
Graham Marsh in 2000, was named one of the top 25 golf courses
in the Minneapolis metro area. Buffalo Heights Golf
Course, established 75 years ago, is a nine-hole course nestled
in the hillside of Buffalo. The course offers challenges
for the expert with a majority of par 4 and 5 holes while
remaining a comfortable 1-1/2 hour walking course.
Fall Splendor in Buffalo
Enjoy the splendor
of the autumn leaves as they take on the brilliant colors
of autumn during your fall visit to Buffalo. Be sure
to include a visit to one of the local apple orchards where
kiddies can enjoy picking apples, hay wagon rides, or a romp
through the pumpkin patch where you can select your Halloween
pumpkins. Then
warm up with a cup of hot apple cider and a sampling of home-made
apple pie before your journey home.
