According
to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the state is home
to 11,842 lakes. It seems fitting then, that so many of Minnesota’s
summer activities and sports are geared around the water. Buffalo
is no exception.
In Buffalo, the many lakes beckon you. Whether you aim
to catch an award winning fish or simply catch a tan,
Buffalo’s lakes offer it all. Bring your own boat
or rent one of ours at Sturges Park.
Water sports are popular activities in Buffalo. The
abundance and variety of fish occupying the area’s
many lakes make the city a fisherman’s paradise.
And, since minnows do not make the most interesting travel
companions, wait until you get to Buffalo to buy your
bait. If fishing isn’t your thing, you may also
love swimming, sailing, canoeing, boating, waterskiing
and jetskiing.
Buffalo and Pulaski are the city’s two main lakes.
There are numerous others in the greater Buffalo area.
